User Stories

• Front page
  • This is the page that the user sees first when connecting to the WikiWiki server. Links on this page should include "RecentlyChangedPages", "FindPage" and some instructions on how to use WikiWiki.

• Read pages
  • Reading pages is basically Web browsing. The user clicks on links to go to other pages, scrolls up and down etc.
  • At the bottom of each there will be a link the user can click to edit this page and a link to search Wiki pages.
  • Each page server should contain an image that is a link to the Front Page of the WikiWiki site.

• Edit pages
  • To edit a page the user clicks on "edit page" link at the bottom of the page.
  • The text is displayed in a text area in the browser so that the user can edit it.
  • When done, a "save" button is pressed to store the page.

• Page formatting
  • The user can use very simple markup language to control the format of the page. No HTML is needed. See section below on the markup options.

• Adding a new page
  • To add a new page the user simply creates a link in the edited text. A link is a string of several words, with each word capitalized. Here are some examples:
    • ThisIsAnExampleLink, AnotherLink, WikiWikiEiffel - these are links
    • NOTALINK, Thisisnotalink - not links.
  • After a page with new links is saved, the link will appear with a question mark next to it. When the question mark is clicked the user will be taken to an edit page and will be given an empty text area to enter the text for the new page.

• Search pages
  • Search page allows the user to enter a keyword and the search will return a list of pages that contain this keyword.
